OVERTON – The Overton girls basketball team won their first ever state title, and were led in the state championship by senior Natalie Wood.
In the championship game against Wynot, Wood scored 14 points and had 23 rebounds. In the state tournament as a whole, Wood averaged unofficially 15 points and 22 rebounds, with an 18 rebound performance in round one, and 26 rebounds in the semis. Wood finished the season averaging 11 points and 12 rebounds per game. The Overton Eagles finished the season at an incredible 28-1 mark.
