Thayer County, Neb. — The Village of Chester was recently awarded a $500 Lean on LARM Safety Grant to purchase first aid kits, safety barricades, and traffic cones.

According to Judy Smith, Chester Village Clerk, the first aid kits would be placed in village vehicles and also in the Village Hall. The barricades and cones would be used for projects and events in the village.

The League Association of Risk Management (LARM) provides the Lean on LARM Safety Grant to members that apply for funds to improve safety in their communities.
