SARGENT – The Custer County Clerk’s office released results of a special election to replenish the Sargent Board of Education.
Voters recalled four of the six members of the school board after their decision a year ago not to renew the contract of Cory Grint as principal.
In a twist, Grint himself was one of the four new board members chosen to fill the vacant seats. He and Cory Beran were selected to each fill a one year term on the board.
Meanwhile the two three year terms up for election were won by Larry Gibbens and Madeline Clayton.
One of the first tasks for the new board members will be to search for a new superintendent.
