Two semis collided around 8:30am Friday morning near Oconto. Custer County Sheriff Dan Osmond says it occurred at the intersection of Highway 21 and Highway 40. Preliminary information indicates a northbound semi on Highway 21 apparently failed to yield the right of way to a westbound semi and tanker trailer on Highway 40.
The northbound semi collided with the driver side of the westbound semi/tanker trailer causing the semi/tanker to enter the north ditch and overturned onto its driver side.
Both drivers were transported to CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney where they were treated and released.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
