Clay County 911 received a 911 call at 11:42am Sunday about a train vs vehicle collision on Road K on the west side of Harvard. Clay County Emergency Manager Haley Malone says a southbound pickup pulling a trailer collided with a westbound train.
The only occupant of the pick up was transported to Aurora Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Harvard Fire & Rescue, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Clay County Emergency Management and Clay County County Roads responded to scene.
The railroad was closed for approximately 2 hours.
