Lexington-Lexington’s five game winning streak came to an end on Saturday as the Minutemen lost at home to Papillion-LaVista South 3-1. Lexington scored first as Jose Leiva pushed a shot through in the 17th minute to put Lexington up 1-0. The goal was set up by a beautiful assist from Fernando Casillas.

PLVS came back in the 28th minute when Adrian Guzman scored to tie the game. In second half, Lexington had a couple of chances to score early but couldn’t find the back of the net and the Titans capitalized when Roy Skogerboe beat the Lexington backline and keeper Sergio Loraca to make it 2-1 in the 58th minute. PLVS tacked on a late goal when Morgan Macke scored to push the lead to 3-1 with one minute to play. Lexington is now 10-6 on the year, while Papillion LaVista is 9-5. The Minutemen will have the next week off as they get set to host subdistrict action.
