Dawson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call between a male and female around 8:00pm Monday evening at the Lexington Interstate 80 interchange. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a woman who was walking on the eastbound off-ramp. The woman provided officers with several different names until a Nebraska State Patrol trooper arrived on scene with an automated finger print scanner. After scanning her fingerprints, she was identified as 33-year-old Caitlin Acheson of Liberty Hill, TX who had a felony Texas arrest warrant.

Acheson allegedly attempted to flee officers but, she was assisted to the ground, according to an arrest affidavit, handcuffed and placed into a patrol vehicle. While the felony Texas warrant was being confirmed she slipped the handcuffs and attempted to flee. She was assisted to the ground again and placed into handcuffs. While being escorted into the Dawson County Jail, Acheson is alleged to have become physically aggressive and spit on a corrections officer. Jail staff found a plastic container among her property that contained a small amount of marijuana shake.

Acheson was arraigned in Dawson County Court Tuesday morning on misdemeanor charges of False Reporting, Resisting Arrest, Assault on an Officer and Possession of Less than an Ounce of Marijuana. A percentage bond of $25,000 was set. She could be released if 10% of that amount is posted. The next hearing is set for March 14, 2024 at 9:30am in Dawson County Court.
