For a third straight season the Gothenburg boys cross country team is out to defend the Class C state title. Last fall the Swedes were led by Tyler Hetz who was the state runner up as a freshman. Head coach Tony Neels talks about this season for the Swedes with Jayson Jorgensen.
Gothenburg begins the season on Thursday as the Lexington Invite at the Overton Golf Course.
