FRISCO, TX. – The Tri-City Storm defeated the Lincoln Stars by a final score of 3-2 in overtime Thursday night in the opening game of the 2022 USHL Frosty Cup. Ilya Nikolaev netted the game-winning goal to give the Storm nine consecutive victories. Mitchell Miller and Victor Czerneckianair also scored goals in the win for Tri-City. Goaltender Arsenii Sergeev stopped a season-high 44 shots on goal to record his league-leading 21st victory of the year. The Storm will battle the Stars again tomorrow night in the second and final game of the 2022 USHL Frosty Cup. Puck drop for tonight’s game is scheduled for 7:00pm CT.
