Kearney-Longtime Kearney boys soccer coach Scott Steinbrook hit a big milestone earlier this week. The Bearcats 1-0 victory over Lincoln Pius in the HAC tournament was the 300th of his career. Steinbrook has spent 25 years coaching soccer at Kearney and he spoke with KRVN’s Jayson Jorgensen about this accomplishment.
During his time with the Bearcats, Kearney has qualified for state 12 times and won the Class A state title in 2018 and were the state runner up in 2009. This year the Bearcats are 9-5 and will play Lincoln East on Wednesday afternoon in the HAC tournament at 4pm.
