OXFORD – After a 19-10 mark last year, the Southern Valley volleyball team is poised to continue to improve as the 2024 season approaches.

Four starters return from last years bunch including seniors Adi Hunt and Brecklyn Hammond who were both second team all conference last year. Hunt averaged over three kills per set last year, while Hammond averaged over nine assists per set. Tori Bose is back for another season as well, after leading the team in digs a year ago. The Eagles also welcome in five freshman, who will look to make an impact this year for Southern Valley.

Head coach Ali Hosier likes the team she has this year, and says their biggest strength is having passion for the sport and for the team. She spoke with KRVN’s Jon Willis.

Southern Valley will begin their season on August 29th against Hi-Line.
