Nebraska backup quarterback Logan Smothers has found a new home. The former four star recruit out of Alabama announced on twitter that he is headed to Jax State in Alabama to continue his career. He spent three years at Nebraska and appeared in 11 games. His departure means that fellow backups Christian Purday and Kearney native Henrich Haarberg will start fall camp as the backups to starter Jeff Sims.
