Hayes Center native Rebel Sjeklocha was crowned Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2023 Wednesday night during the first session of the Buffalo Bill Rodeo. Sjeklocha is a recent graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Communications with minors in Law, Business and the Engler Entrepreneurship Program. Her reign will begin in January. She was crowned by Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2022 Bailey Lehr of Columbus. She will be competing at the Miss Rodeo America pageant in Las Vegas in December.
Earlier on Wednesday, Callie Troyer of Hershey was crowned Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska. She will be a senior this Fall at Hershey Public Schools. In addition to school activities, Troyer is involved in 4-H, church community and plans to pursue a degree in pediatrics after high school.
First Runner-Up for Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska was Hannah Siwinski of Central City.
