Property tax relief plans to be reviewed at town hall discussion in North Platte

North Platte, Neb. — A free town hall session to discuss property tax relief will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at the McDonald-Belton Theater at Mid-Plains Community College South Campus in North Platte. The event will be hosted by the Platte Institute. Blueprint Nebraska President Jim Smith, who is also the chief strategy officer at the Platte Institute and Nebraska State Senator Steve Erdman will present property tax relief ideas.

Smith and Erdman will present two different plans for overhauling Nebraska’s tax system followed by questions from the audience. Smith will explain the Blueprint Nebraska tax modernization plan and Erdman will outline the EPIC Consumption Tax.
