Overton public schools Principal Brian Fleischman has been named the Nebraska State Association of Secondary Schools Principal of the Year. Fleischman has been the PK-12 Principal at Overton since 2008. He has worked in education since 1998. Overton Superintendent Mark Aten had this to say about Fleischman. “Brian has been working with other administrators and helped develop an outstanding teacher evaluation tool and an informal walk through program which compliments the formal evaluation process. He was also instrumental in developing the one on one student I-Pad initiative at Overton. Our students now have the curriculum in a digital format and it is one more tool to help them succeed.” Fleischman also has been the activities director at Overton and coached the boys golf team to the Class D state title this spring.
