The weather played havoc with the NSAA boys state golf tournaments yesterday. In Class D, Overton has the lead with a 336. That is three shots better than Hitchcock County, Loomis is five shots off the pace. Individually, Tyson Essex of Loomis leads the way with a 72, Jack Baker of Hitchcock County is tied for 4th along with Braden Fleischman of Overton and Kamden Bose of Southern Valley who all shot 77’s.

Lincoln Southeast has the team lead in Class A, as Kearney sets in 7th place. In Class B, Norris has the lead, McCook and Adams Central are tied for 7th. Carson Thurber of Norris leads the field after shooting a 70. Emmanuel Jensen of York is 5th, Hayden Russman of Cozad is 6th after he shot a 77. The Class C tournament was rained out yesterday and will become just an 18 hole event today.
