June 7th, 2024 | Karla Nichols

Broken Bow – On Thursday, June 13th, No-till on the Plains will host the Nebraska Sandhills Grazing Conference at the One Box Convention Center in Broken Bow.

Several topics will be discussed including grazing cropland to build rangeland health, the role of forbs in native rangeland, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) discussing the practices on grazing lands, in addition to wildfire and rangeland recovery.

“Areas where we can come in and do a non-traditional subject is a way to add some cash flow into an operation and a way for people to get outside of the norm and do something a little different to keep learning and become a lifelong learner.” Aaron Sawyers with No-till on the Plains said.

Lunch will wrap up the morning session before attendees visit the field sites of annual seeded crops and native rangeland.

No-till on the Plains is a non-profit educational organization that provides education and networking on agricultural production systems that model nature.

Registration is required of $40.
