Lincoln, Neb. — For the second year in a row, B.R.A.K.E.S. (Be Responsible And Keep Everyone Safe) in partnership with the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office and the Nebraska Safety Council, will be offering their Teen Pro-Active Driving School. This free program, designed to save young lives, will take place at the Lincoln Airport on July 20-21, 2024.

B.R.A.K.E.S., founded by NHRA drag racing star Doug Herbert after the devastating loss of his two sons in a tragic car crash, is dedicated to transforming teenage driving habits. This three-hour, hands-on driving school is not just another class; it’s a life-saving experience focusing on critical skills like crash avoidance, drop wheel recovery, managing distractions, panic stopping, and mastering car control and skid recovery.

Car crashes are among the leading causes of death among teens. Graduates of this program are 64 percent less likely to get into a crash within their first three years after completing the B.R.A.K.E.S. program.
