Eddyville Volunteer Fire Department was called out to a house fire at 1:30 pm on Monday, January 19th, 2022 at 907 Central Ave. Fire Department Training Officer Fred Boon explains where the fire originated from.
Boon says they called in multiple area fire departments to help supply water.
Boon said at about 10pm they tore the roof off the house with a tractor and by 11:30pm the fire was put out.
Eddyville had mutual aid from Miller, Sumner, Oconto, Lexington, Callaway, Ansley and Mason City fire departments. The Nebraska State Fire Marshall was on scene to investigate.
