Moats Named Female Athlete of the Year at CCC

COLUMBUS – Lexington native McKinna Moats was named yesterday as the Female Athlete of the Year at Central Community College.

The award goes to Moats after a great sophomore season where she is currently batting .521 with 15 home runs, 57 RBI and 50 runs scored. Moats was also the Rookie of the Year her freshman season after batting .429 with 15 home runs and 64 RBI.

Not only did she win Female Athlete of the Year, but also the Softball Academic Student Athlete of the Year

She has also broken the season and career RBI record, season and career home run record, and is second in career hits and doubles.

CCC is currently 22-13 on the season and begins Region Tournament play on Saturday.

Moats plans to continue her athletic and academic career at Doane beginning next year.
