McCook, Neb. — A McCook man was sentenced to prison on charges that he sexually assaulted a child.
McCook Police Department says on April 29, 2022, after an extensive investigation by police detectives, they arrested 23 year old Anthony Lucero of McCook on five felony charges and one misdemeanor charge relating to sexual assault of a child and child abuse charges.
Lucero was sentenced Monday in Red Willow County District Court to 12-20 years in prison for two Class II felonies. The sentences will be served consecutively, or one after the other. Prior to his sentencing, Lucero pleaded no contest to the charges. As part of a plea agreement, some charges were dropped.
