A 20-year-old Marquette woman, Tiffany Cure, was arrested today(Thurs) on a charge of Child Abuse Resulting in Death, a Class IB Felony.
Hamilton County Sheriff Jeromy McCoy says it stems from an investigation started on August 6, 2024 when they responded to a 911 call at 107 Lynn Street in Marquette for an unresponsive 3-month-old child.
Stormi Swartz was pronounced deceased at Aurora Memorial Hospital after life-saving measures were unsuccessful.
Sheriff McCoy says the Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Nebraska State Patrol.
