Lexington, Neb. — As of Wednesday, November 24, Lexington Regional Health Center (LRHC) is postponing scheduling patients for voluntary wellness screenings due to a critical shortage of blood collection supplies. LRHC is ensuring that adequate supplies are available for critical situations including patients needing lab draws in the emergency room and inpatients in the hospital. Any patients that are already scheduled will still receive their wellness labs on the day they have requested, this only applies to new wellness screening appointments.

An LRHC Facebook post says, “LRHC will resume wellness screenings as soon as our blood collection supplies are in good stock.” The post goes on to say, “We will inform you when that happens. Thank you for your understanding.”
