Loper wrestling picks up MIAA Honors

2023-24 All-MIAA Wrestling Awards Announced2/29/2024 | Wrestling KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its All-MIAA honors for the 2023-24 wrestling season.

The 2023-24 MIAA wrestling season concluded earlier this month with Central Oklahoma capturing its fourth consecutive regular season title.

Central Oklahoma, the defending NCAA Division II National Champion, was crowned MIAA champions after going undefeated at 5-0 against league opponents. The Bronchos are also currently undefeated overall at 15-0 overall this season.

Nebraska Kearney was the Association’s 2023-24 runner-up with a MIAA record of 4-1. Fort Hays state finished third in the league with a record of 3-2 while Central Missouri finished fourth (2-3), Ouachita Baptist finished fifth (1-4) and Newman finished sixth in the MIAA standings.The Bronchos and Lopers tied with a league-best seven All-MIAA honors. Central Oklahoam totaled five undefeated dual meet MIAA champions while Nebraska Kearney had three. Central Missouri totaled two All-MIAA honored with one undefeated dual meet champion. Newman and Ouachita earned one All-MIAA selection each. 

Below are the list of wrestlers who earned All-MIAA honors for the 2023-24 season. The First Team honoree is the league’s dual meet champion of each weight class while the Second Team honoree is the dual meet runner-up. Each wrestler’s MIAA dual meet record is listed in parentheses next to their name.
