Loomis thefts: Phelps County Sheriffs ask for help

Loomis, Neb. – The Phelps County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a handful of thefts that occurred this past weekend in Loomis. They are asking Loomis residents with outside cameras to check for suspicious activity that may have been captured from Friday to Sunday morning, August 16-18. If anyone has information that would assist in the investigation, please contact the sheriff’s office at 995-5692.

According to the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department, approximately three to four different vehicles were broken into over the weekend. Chief Deputy Jamie Tilson said the suspects have been taken into custody, and the stolen property has been returned. The investigation is ongoing.
