Lexington Lions Club members are taking orders for their annual Peach and Pear sale. Lion’s Club member Robert Speer says the orders need to be in by July 31st to accommodate the delivery from Palisade, CO in late August. Speer says the fruit comes in cases known as “lugs”. Each lug weighs 20 pounds. It’s $50 for a lug of peaches and $35 for a lug of pears.
Proceeds from the Peach and Pear sales go to support the Club’s activities in scholarships and vision care for children and adults.
