Lexington Soccer wins two against the Stars

Lexington-The Lexington boys big year in soccer continued on Tuesday as they beat Kearney Catholic 6-1. Yoskar Galvan and Fredy Vargas each had two goals for the Minutemen who scored three goals in each half. The 2nd ranked Minutemen are now 13-1 on the season. In the girls game, Lexington improved to 8-4 on the season with a 1-0 win over the Stars. Freshman Valeria Perez hit from 25 yards out in the first half and that goal proved to be the difference. Alyssa Winter came up with nine saves for the Minutemaids who posted another shutout. Lexington also outshot Kearney Catholic 16-11 in the match.
