Lexington Police investigating death

Lexington, Neb. — At approximately 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Lexington Police Department responded to a man that appeared to be passed out lying next to a building in the alley in the 100 block of west 6th Street, according to a media release.

Upon arrival, Officers along with Lexington Fire and Rescue determined the subject to be deceased.

The initial scene was processed by the police department. Through initial investigation, the person was identified as a 39-year old Lexington man.

His identity is being withheld until his family is notified.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday. The Lexington Police Department is conducting a follow-up investigation into the incident.
