A Lexington man facing child porn and sexual assault charges in two cases has
taken a plea deal.
According to Dawson County District Court records, Gabino De Los
Santos, 31, pleaded no contest on Friday to two charges, including Distribution of Child
Pornography.
In exchange for the pleas, seven counts of Possession of Child Pornography and
one count of 1st-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child were dismissed.
An arrest affidavit for both cases were sealed, but a complaint outlining the child
porn charges say they occurred between September 2022 and March 2023 and
involved two victims under 12 years old.
A complaint in the sexual assault case indicates that the crimes occurred in
November 2021 and involved a child under the age of 12.
Court records are not clear whether the two cases involve the same victims.
De Los Santos is set to appear in Dawson County District Court for sentencing at
10:00 a.m. on October 25, 2024.
He faces three to 70 years in prison when he is sentenced.
