A Lexington man has been charged with sexually assaulting a teen girl.
Jimmy Bran-Lopez, 29, is charged in Dawson County Court with first-degree sexual assault of a child. The charge is a Class 1B Felony and is punishable by 20 years to life imprisonment.
According to an arrest affidavit, on Friday, a teen girl reported she was sexually assaulted by Bran-Lopez more than 10 times in 2020 and 2021.
In an interview with Lexington Police, an officer said Bran-Lopez admitted to sexually assaulting the teen.
Bran-Lopez was arraigned in Dawson County Court on Tuesday. His bond was set at $500,000, 10%. His next hearing is set for May 8, 2024 at 11:00am in Dawson County Court.
