YORK – The Lexington boys saw their season come to an end Wednesday night in the first round of the B7 subdistricts, falling to York 70-38.

Lexington played from behind from the get go, not able to score their first points until about half way through the first quarter. By then, York had built a substantial lead and never looked back. The Dukes used their size advantage on both ends of the floor and particularly on the boards as they nabbed 44 rebounds with 15 coming on the offensive end. York put the game to bed in the third quarter when they outscored Lexington 23-12.

In the win, Ryan Huston scored a game high 20 points and grabbed six rebounds. He also went a perfect 8-8 from the free throw line. Riley Clark scored 14 points while Josh Turco finished with a double-double and 13 points and 12 rebounds. York converted 16-21 free throws and finished with 10 turnovers. Lexington was led by Leo Fine and Carlos Martinez who each scored 10 points. The Minutemen went 2-11 from the free throw line and gave the ball away 12 times.

York will play Hastings for the subdistrict final Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. Lexington’s season ended with a 4-20 overall record.
