Kearney-It figures to be a big night on Friday for Kearney Catholic high school. The Stars will play their first football game at the new Stars Stadium. KRVN’s Jayson Jorgensen spoke this week with activities director Rick Petri about this big improvement for the school and the community.
The seven million dollar project includes the new football field with field turf, a new press box, new video screen scoreboard, new track and seating for up to 1,500 fans. A new concession stand and restroom facility was built along with an new storage building. Undefeated Kearney Catholic will host 3-1 Amherst this week during homecoming activities.
