Minden native Josh Jorgensen has been named the new director of the Minden Chamber of Commerce. He will begin his duties April 15th and will work in the office Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8am until 12pm. Jorgensen and his family wife-Angela, son-Duke, daughter-Dallas moved back to the Minden area in 2019 to take over the family farm south of Minden.
Jorgensen was born and raised in the Minden area, working in the family’s bakery business and working on the farm. Before moving back to Minden, Jorgensen was the associate athletic director at UNK, he also held similar positions at McNeese State, Austin Peay, and Stephen F. Austin universities and was the director of facilities at Haymarket Park in Lincoln earlier in his career.
