Cozad – It didn’t take Aurora long to set the tone on Tuesday night against Cozad. Adi Fahrnbruch led off the game with a homerun to rightfield before anyone had even settled into their seats. The Huskies went on to defeat the Haymakers 10-1 in front of a packed Bellamy Park. The Huskies scored their 10 runs on 13 hits and were helped out by four Cozad errors.

After the Fahrnbruch homer Cozad pitcher, Madison Sayer settled and pitched competitively. Her counterpart in the circle, Zoe Johnson, though was dominant. She gave up only one run on five hits. Twice Cozad had runners in scoring position with less than two outs but were unable to cash in. Cozad’s loan run came on a double from Mackenzie Munster that scored Mallory Munster in the fifth inning.

Fahrnbruch went 4-4 on the night scoring three times and knocking in two runs. Aurora moves to 9-6 with the win, Cozad falls to 4-8.
