Husker assistants speak about opportunity to coach at Nebraska

Three more assistant Husker football coaches met with the media yesterday.

On Wednesday, it was linebackers coach Rob Dvoracek, offensive line coach Donovan Raiola and strength coach Corey Campbell who took to the podium.

Donovan RaioloAssistant Coach – Offensive Line

Donovan Raiola is in his second season as Nebraska’s offensive line coach in 2023 after being retained by Head Coach Matt Rhule. Raiola owns 12 years of coaching experience, including four years as an offensive line coach in the National Football League. Raiola joined Nebraska after spending four seasons as an assistant offensive line coach with the Chicago Bears. Raiola also coached offensive linemen at Aurora (Ill.) University, in addition to collegiate coaching stops at Notre Dame and Hawaii. In addition to being in his seventh season as an offensive line coach, Raiola was an outstanding lineman himself. A three-time All-Big Ten selection at Wisconsin, Raiola went on to play six seasons in the NFL.

Rob Dvoracek – Assistant Coach – Linebackers

Rob Dvoracek is in his first season as Nebraska’s linebackers coach in 2023. Dvoracek spent the past two seasons coaching in the National Football league, and he has spent five of his seven seasons on Matt Rhule’s staff. A promising young coach, Dvoracek has coached at a Power Five program in addition to his NFL experience. He also boasts previous experience in being part of a program rebuild, as Dvoracek spent two years at Baylor during the Bears’ three-year turnaround from a one-win season in 2017 to an 11-win season in 2019.

Corey Campbell – Head Football Strength & Conditioning

Corey Campbell is in his first season as Nebraska’s head football strength and conditioning coach. Campbell owns nearly a decade of experience as a strength and conditioning coach, including time in the National Football League and in the Big Ten and Big 12 Conferences. Campbell came to Nebraska after a stint in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers in 2021 and 2022. Under head coach Matt Rhule, Campbell served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Panthers. In 2021, Carolina ranked second in the NFL in total defense.
