On Tuesday morning Garrett Nelson announced he was leaving the Nebraska football program in favor of declaring for the NFL Draft and turning pro.
KNEB Sports was able to catch up with Nelson this afternoon to talk about the decision, his time with the Husker program, coaching changes, and what’s next.
This past season Nelson was a team captain for the Huskers and he was voted to The Associated Press All-Big Ten second team after finishing with 5.5 sacks and 9 tackles for loss as part of a 65 tackle season.
