Former Bulldog ready to be a Loper

Kearney-North Platte grad River Johnston will be a part of coach Marty Levinson’s first recruiting class with the UNK men’s basketball program. Johnston averaged double figures last year as a freshman at Doane. He talks with KRVN’s Jayson Jorgensen about his decision to become a Loper.

In his first year of college ball, Johnston averaged 10ppg while appearing in 24 games for the Tigers. He made 21 starts with a season high of 26 points against Briar Cliff. Johnston had ten games in which he scored in double figures and shot 33 percent from three point land and 43 percent overall.
