A large fire, with heavy black smoke broke out on the western edge of Minden Wednesday afternoon just north of Highway 6 & 34.
Firefighters from area communities responded to assist Minden firefighters including Hildreth, Wilcox and Axtell.
A portion of Highway 6 & 34 in the community was shut down. Local residents reported small explosions eminating from a building.
