Former Nebraska Kearney star Wes Ferguson is one of 60 athletes to recently receive a grant from the USA Track & Field Foundation. Each of the 60 selected athletes will receive a grant of $15,000, marking a continued effort by the Foundation to alleviate the financial pressures associated with training and competing at the highest levels.

Feguson (Fremont) was a nine-time All-American and five-time 800-meter national champion for the Lopers. Competing at the 2023 and 2024 U.S. Track Championships, he’ll remain in Kearney for the upcoming season, serving as a volunteer coach for the cross country and track teams.
