York County, Neb. — The York County Sheriff’s Department says a 24 year old man has died as a result of a forklift accident near Benedict.
Lieutenant Alex Hildebrand said Tuesday night, deputies with the York County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a workplace accident near the intersection of Road 22 and Road H in rural York County.
Upon arrival, it was determined a 24 year old male was accidently run over by a forklift.
The victim was transported to York General Hospital by the York Fire Department. The individual was later transported by helicopter to Bryan LGH West in Lincoln. The victim was pronounced deceased at the Lincoln hospital.
Lt. Hildebrand said the name of the deceased is not being released at this time, as the next of kin has not yet been notified.
