Region 7 personnel from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will be in York Thursday morning to make an announcement regarding funding for new and ongoing cleanups at Superfund sites in the community.

York Mayor Barry Redfern will join EPA Region 7 Administrator Meg McCollister for the funding announcement at York City Hall at 10:30am Thursday.

Following their remarks, EPA staff, along with officials from the city of York and the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy, will take part in a walking tour of the PCE Southeast Contamination Superfund Site to see the work being funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

Seven Superfund sites on EPA’s National Priorities List (NPL) in EPA Region 7 have received funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
