A 66-year-old North Platte woman was arrested Friday following a two-month investigation, by North Platte Police Department, involving the procuring alcohol and tobacco products to underage juveniles in the North Platte area.

Investigators found that The investigation found that Nanette Timms was using her phone to communicate with juveniles while using online payments, as well as cash payments for alcohol and tobacco products. Nanette would then arrange for the juveniles to pick up the products either in person at various locations or leaving the products outside of her residence.

On Friday, August 16, 2024, Investigators observed Timms obtain a large amount of alcohol at the Walmart Supercenter. Once Timms left the Walmart Supercenter, investigators observed her meet up with two parked vehicles in the parking lot. Investigators witnessed Timms take the alcohol, liquor, and tobacco and place them into each of the two parked vehicles. Investigators made contact with the two vehicles, plus the vehicle with Timms. One vehicle was occupied by three female juveniles all under the age of 21 years old. The other vehicle was occupied by one female who was under the age of 21 years old. The alcohol, liquor, and tobacco products were then seized.

Nanette Timms was placed into custody on four counts of Procuring Alcohol to Minors (Class I Misd.) and three counts of Selling or Giving Tobacco or a nicotine Product or Device to a Minor (Class III Misd.). More charges are pending upon completion of the investigation.

The investigation began in June with a tip, from an anonymous caller who provided information to Crime Stoppers. The North Platte Police Department expressed their appreciation to the anonymous caller who provided the information to Crime Stoppers.
