Overton-Top seeded Overton continued its winning ways on Friday night as they downed Lawrence-Nelson 63-19 to win the D2-1 district title. Overton ended the first quarter on a 10-2 spurt and was never threatened after that as they bolted out to a 40-15 halftime advantage. The Eagles then started the second half by outscoring the Raiders 17-0 in the 3rd quarter.

Overton had four players in double figures led by Ashlyn Florell who scored 16, Natalie Wood chipped in with 14 points, while Adysen McCarter and Jolee Ryan had 12 apiece. The Eagles have now won 21 in a row and are 25-1 on the season. The district title is the first for Overton since 2004. Lawrence-Nelson ends its year at 8-16. Overton will begin play at the state tournament on Wednesday and those games can be heard on KAMI Country and krvn.com.
