The City of Norfolk has closed the 700 blockof Norfolk Avenue in the downtown area for safety reasons.
In a social media post around 2:30pm this afternoon, they say there has been a building collapse.
Emergency crews are on-site to assess the situation and they ask the public to avoid the area until further notice.
