Downey Drilling in Lexington sustained fire damage Friday evening.  Lexington Volunteer Fire Department was holding their annual banquet Friday evening November 19, 2021 when they were paged shortly before 7:30pm to a fire call at Downey Drilling on the east edge of Lexington.    Overton Volunteer Fire Department provided mutual aid.  The fire appeared to originate from one of their service trucks parked inside the building, according to Berry.   It was unknown what caused the truck to catch fire nor the extent of damage to the facility and equipment.
