Doniphan, Neb. — Voters appear to have rejected proposed improvements to the Doniphan-Trumbull schools in a special bond election that involved mail-in ballots. In unofficial results, Proposition 1 resulted in 531 votes against and 375 in favor. That portion was for additions and renovations to the school, which would add classrooms but not exceed $22.8 (M) million.

Proposition 2 resulted in 610 votes against and 296 in favor. Proposition 2 would have provided a new gym and locker room, but not exceed $9.3 (M) million.

These are unofficial until the Hall County Canvassing Board meets at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20 to certify the results.
