Dawson County — Dawson County’s election ballot has become more clear after Thursday’s filing deadline for incumbents. Non-incumbents (Newcomers) have a filing deadline of March 1.

Recent filers include, (I) Jason Lawless for Lexington Airport Authority. (N) Jared Jacob and (I) Dora Vivas join (I) Jeremy Roberts as Lexington City Council candidates.

For Gothenburg School Board, (N) Patrick Moore and (N) Cadyn Smith have filed. They join candidates (I) Kelly Keiser-Terrell, (I) Kyle Fornoff and (I) Becky Jobman.

For Cozad School Board, (I) Joel Carlson, (I) Michele Starman and (N) Stacey Mundell have filed as candidates.

There are now six candidates for Overton School Board. (N) Logan Kizer just registered. He joins candidates (N) Brooke (Luther) Puffer, (I) Joel Meier, (N) Jacob Olmstead, (N) Dylan Smith and (I) Heather Brennan.

No candidates had filed for Cozad City Council as of Thursday. There is one council member position open in each of two wards.

Only one candidate had filed for each of two city council wards in Gothenburg. (I) J Buddenberg filed for East Ward, (I) Jeff Kennedy filed for West Ward.

For Lexington Regional Health Center Board, (N) Jackie Rowan has filed to challenge three incumbents: (I) Rob Anderson, (I) Tucker Case and (I) Pamela Trampe.

(I) Linda Benjamin and (I) Matt Burkholder have filed for Cozad Community Hospital board.

(I) Steven Beans has filed for Cozad Airport Authority.

There are three openings on Lexington Board of Education. (N) Sandra Reyes, joins (I) Larry Steinberger and (I) Cindy Benjamin on the ticket.

(N) Cynthia Burman and (I) Jennifer Anderson have filed for S-E-M School Board. There are three openings this election cycle.

For County Commissioner, (N) Joe Richeson has filed in District 1, (I) P.J.Jacobson in District 4 and (I) Rod Reynolds in District 5.

The deadlines for Villages and Weed Board are July 15th for incumbents and August 1st for non-incumbents.

Two have filed for Village of Eddyville. They are (I) Sara Nichols and (I) Gary Rhode.
