An ultra light plane crashed in Custer County over the weekend resulting in minor injury. According to a preliminary report from the Federal Aviation Administration, it occurred around 4:30pm Sunday near Ansley.
The FAA report said the circumstances surrounding the crash were unknown. But, it reportedly occurred during take-off according to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office.
The pilot and owner of the plane, Douglas Stunkel of Ansley, was initially transported to a Broken Bow hospital by private vehicle.
