On Friday night, the Cozad Football Football boosters held their first induction ceremony for the school’s Hall of Fame. Several former stars and two teams the state championship squads from 1969 and 2013 were honored. Former all stater and Husker Chris Dishman who helped Cozad to the 1991 Class B state title was one of those inducted. He talked with KRVN’s Jayson Jorgensen about what this honor means to him.

After winning a state title at Cozad and helping the Huskers win two national championships, he was a 4th round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 1997. Dishman ended up playing eight years in the NFL. The boosters plan to make this an annual event each July. Others inducted Friday included Conor Young, Jared Crick, Don Ozanne, Dean Sukup, Dale Bubak, Jake Paulsen, and former assistant Scott Adkisson.
