Cozad Community Schools announces selection of James Ford as new Interim Superintendent

Cozad — The Cozad Board of Education has selected James Ford to serve as Interim Superintendent of Cozad Community Schools for the 2022-2023 school year.

According to Cozad Community Schools Facebook page, Ford has served the Cozad School District the past three years as Special Education Director and Cozad Early Education Center administrator.

Ford shares with parents, patrons and community members that he can’t wait to help Cozad Community Schools have the best school year possible. Ford says students need the staff to be the best they can be daily. He says the school district needs the community’s help to make this the best year possible.

Ford says, as the 2022-2023 school year begins, he wants to highlight what he urges staff to focus on while building upon the district’s culture. Ford says, “The best school culture is student-centered, builds relationships, demands integrity, encourages a growth mindset, and pushes everyone to embrace productive discomfort. Our goal is to reach our maximum potential in everything that we do. This means that we consistently work to improve every day to become the best version of ourselves. We can do this as a team. I am proud to be a part of our team.”

James Ford is married to Ashley Ford, Middle School Language Arts teacher, and has three young children. Joseph who is entering Kindergarten, Lydia who attends Cozad Early Education Center PreK, and Emily who just turned two years old.
